|Address:||BOOTHILL STUDIOS, 16 Lesgay Crescent, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M2H 2H8|
|Bio:||Following a career in the advertising and film business, Wilf McOstrich has turned his talents to the art of water colour painting. Mostly devoted to painting the Ontario landscape, he will occasionally undertake a commission to produce illustrations and whimsical things to illustrate children's books or animal portraits.|
His style involves the use of striking and luminous colours and both his snow scenes and fall paintings are much sought after. One of his early recognizable trademarks is his use of exceptionally bright Fall oranges and rusty red tones that combine to create the changing seasons of the Muskokas and Haliburton. His snow scenes are vivid, bright and seem to jump off the wall.
His work sells in Ontario, in the United States and overseas.
Wilf is an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, a member of the Willowdale Group, Aquarella and the Minden Hills Painters. His paintings are shown in some of Ontario's most historic inns, at juried shows and in special exhibitions.
Wilf maintains studios in both Toronto and at his place by the lake in Haliburton.
